Soft Sound A&R is a passion project born from a deep love and appreciation for music and commitment to highlighting the wealth, diversity, and abundance of artists that exists today.
For up-and-coming songwriters, producers, and musicians, the social media landscape that has dominated much of talent discovery in the past five years has made visibility and retention of listenership incredibly difficult to come by. I hope through Soft Sound A&R, and furthermore through extensive research (of metrics like DSP/torrent/radio/editorial/social media), to find and share some of the unique, exciting talent and projects of the past and current year.
As a Los Angeles native and avid concert-goer, I've had an affinity for A&R from my teen years that has persisted throughout my twenties. I am constantly inspired by the artists I find across all platforms, both online and in-person. At Wellesley College, I spent my four years at WZLY, our college radio station, hosting weekly radio shows, conducting interviews with artists, planning events, and more.
Through the pandemic until now, my interest in A&R and music has done everything but wavered and I believe some of the most exciting talent has yet to be discovered. Soft Sound is an opportunity to connect and share about art and artists that move us and are painting the music landscape of today.
